Authentic swing rhythm, compelling vocals, and Ellington-like flavor. What makes this special is the combination of great arrangements, vocals, and it's irresistible pulse. Two brilliant originals and three classics that are must-hear.
NOTES
A swing band, yes, but what makes this special is the combination of great arrangements, vocals, and it's irresistible rhythmic pulse. Flavor, tonal colors, musical storytelling; two brilliant originals and three classics that are must-hear.
It was a cold, rainy Monday as musicians trickled into the Roycroft Theatre Building. Many decades had passed since the Roycroft hosted silent movies for the neighborhood. However, the nine foot Baldwin concert grand piano beckoned and the stage at the Roycroft Theatre provided an intimate space to record the band.

Floyd Reitsma, ace engineer from Litho was game. He brought a laptop, monitor speakers, a snake, and I hauled in a collection of ancient RCA ribbon miss and five charts. Jessica, my partner prepared a family meal of lasagna, caesar salad, and tiramisu to celebrate this memorable musical occasion.

This Band has its own sound, unique repertoire, and can really swing. In this past year, we have experienced major musical growth with new members and arrangements. We wanted to record it to enjoy the music and create more opportunities to play together. Hope you like it.
